I began my journey over a decade ago when I became pregnant with my first child.  Knowing that I needed to change my diet, I started adding more vegetables into it.  Slowly but surely, as I added more healthful foods in, there was less room on my plate for the unhealthy foods.  As time went on, my knowledge expanded; each day became a learning experience.  I started running, going to the gym, shopping at farmers markets, and studying nutrition.  I became stronger, healthier and more physically fit, but yet something was still missing.

About a year ago, it really dawned on me that finding balance and being healthy wasn't all about nutrition and fitness, but was also dependent on my mental, emotional, spiritual and financial well-being.  I decided to further my path to wellness by practicing yoga and meditation, and after a few months of self-practice, felt led to teach.

After many years in corporate America and the United States NAVY, I felt as though it was time for a major shift.  I am proud to say that I am now enjoying life as a wellness professional offering holistic health coaching and yoga instruction.  I work with Prasanthi Studio in Pelham, NY (an affiliate of Little Flower Yoga) both of which have a passion for bringing mindfulness into the lives of others, especially children.  I have trained under master yoga teachers Jennifer Cohen Harper and Mayuri Breen-Gonzalez and possess a double B.A. in Business and Psychology from Fordham University.  I primarily work with children in school settings and families throughout NYC and Westchester County; I also have a passion for helping military veterans realize their potential, become healthier and implement their military skills into the civilian world.  Earlier this year, I launched a female veteran’s wellness initiative, in partnership with Fordham University and CUNY schools.

I received my health coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories, studied a variety of practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.  Drawing on this knowledge, my professional skills and personal life experience, I help my clients to create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits their unique bodies, lifestyles, preferences, and goals, helping them make lifestyle changes that produce real, life changing and long lasting results.
